File - Imperial
The file pattern is aptly named, with vertical saw-toothed ribs. It was also used as the exterior pattern of some Scroll Embossed bowls and compotes. Shapes include a water pitcher, tumblers, table sets, bowls and a large chop plate.

Almost all pieces are marigold though an occasional amethyst bowl shows up.

The most unusual piece is a large spittoon made from the chop plate as shown in the photo at far right.

Shown at the left is a full table set of four pieces (butterdish, creamer, spooner and cover sugar). In the center are a vase whimsey and a spooner that the whimsey was made from. Vases may have either a spittoon shaped top with six rufles or a flared and nine ruffled top. Bowls are typically 7 1/2 to 8 1/2 inches across. Amethyst bowls typically have 6 ruffles while marigold bowls are round or have six ruffles.
