Pump and Trough, LG Wright, Hansen and Crider
LG Wright had the above Pump and Trough novelty items made, probably by Westmoreland. The first two photos show the LG Wight items in purple and blue. The bottom of each item is iridized. The third photo above is Northwood's classic era Town Pump or Ivy Pump. Note that Northwood's Pump has a pattern of ivy growing up the sides. Northwood never made a trough to go along with their pump. LG Wright's version appears to either have a cactus or a tree trunk pattern.
The three pumps and troughs above, while still made for LG Wright, were iridized by Terry Crider. Each item has a pontil on the bottom and the pumps are signed. The colors are blue opal, a light green and blue milk glass with a marigold iridescence.
The green pump and trough above, while still made for LG Wright, was iridized by one of the Hansen brothers. Each item has a pontil on the bottom. While neither the pump nor the trough is signed, the shaping of the green top is thought to be Hansen. The marigold example is the most confusing as the top is round and it is also unsigned. No trough has yet been found in marigold.
